Pictures speak a thousand words about the success of our 2012 Walk for the Kids.  We had a great day! Read more about our 2012 Walk for the Kids below.

Our Second Annual Walk for the Kids was on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Elm Park in Worcester.

Our walk went right past Worcester’s favorite wine shoppe and frozen yogurt establishment. The Wine Vine and
Wooberry Frozen Yogurt
handed out samples of tea, gourmet cookies and yummy frozen yogurt.  Nothing like a little nourishment while you exercise.  The walkers loved the samples!

We had great entertainment and fun after the walk:

More About Walk for the Kids

Our 2.7 mile course  was appropriate for all levels of  walkers.  Beginning and ending at beautiful Elm Park, it went past Institute Park, through the lovely WPI campus and by the historic headquarters of Children’s Friend, where our volunteers handed out water.

The family friendly walk ended with a small celebration that included healthy food handouts, kids’ activities, and entertainment.  FINZ from the Worcester Sharks greeted the walkers, and Polar Beverages provided a yummy sampling tent.
